Re: Current Build Projects
New to this Forum. Love those Indycycles! I have average skills, so do the plans tell you enough to finish a project? Which donor bikes are easy to work with? Anyone know about the finish cost of a Indycycle minus the donor bike? I would get all my welding done at a shop, can they follow the plans without a lot of hassel?
My real concern is getting into a build and taking too long to finish and just giving up. I'd like to make this a winter project. I don't mind messing with the finishing touches as time goes on, but can I build a running frame Indycyle in my spare time over the course of 3-4 months? Thanks for the Forum. Like to see some more photos. Any builders in the Kansas City Area, let's talk and visit.

Re: Current Build Projects
Hey Galley Skuker,
You recently asked what it was like to own and drive and Indycycle. Now I can tell you, it is fantastic! Mine is very fast, corners nicely, and I get 42 mpg.. I drive mine a lot, joy rides in the evening, car shows, to work, etc., so I can speak to how fun it is. It turns heads everywhere and it's a big hit at car shows as the 8 trophies it has earned will attest to. Hope you decide to build one!

Re: Current Build Projects
Just rereading the posts and caught yours, i know this is a long ways from 2007. I have been told there are three finished and running on the road. I have an Indy Cycle completed in 2013 with around 1500 miles on it. If you want some pictures i can send them to you if you send me your email address.

Re: Current Build Projects
It's been a while sense I completed my Indy Cycle and have modified it with a 2004 Suzuki Hayabusa 1300R. The frame that i started off with was an Suzuki 1100k. I had to modify the frame to install the 1300R, but it does fit. i admit it is not an easy conversion. Along with the engine I also changed out the swing arm with a gen two. I also had to modify the arm.
Using the Busa engine I was able to use the wiring harness, so almost of the install was plug and play, with a few exceptions. If anyone would like some pictures i can send them to you, just email your address and ill send some to you. [email protected]
